There are concerts, and then there are experiences that leave a lasting imprint on your soul. The 2026 Rebirth of Ubuntu concert, held on 29 and 30 May at the iconic Joburg Theatre, was undoubtedly one of those experiences.

This year’s theme, “50 Years of Youth Legacy,” commemorated the 50th anniversary of the historic Soweto Uprising, paying tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the young people who helped shape South Africa’s future.
